In the spring of 2016, Google launched its Cultural Institute in New Orleans at the New Orleans Museum of Art. DEVENEY was hired by Google to make a big local splash, in part to educate the local population on the search engine giant’s Arts & Culture initiative.
In coordination with the opening event, DEVENEY was concepted and managed a press conference. Efforts included building the invitation list, ensuring target stakeholders – government, community, media, arts and culture enthusiasts and others – were in attendance. We developed all press materials and pitched the story to media outlets near and far.
